Planned Itinerary

(subject to change, for example due to weather)

Day 1: Saturday – Pula Embarkation

Embarkation: After 17:00 at a marina in Pula.

  • Welcome Drinks & Briefing: Toast with local Istrian Malvazija wine while the Bare Waves Sailing crew explains boat safety and previews your week of nude adventures
  • Evening exploration: Pula’s 2,000-year-old Roman Amphitheater, Temple of Augustus, and charming waterfront
  • LGBTQ+ Nightlife: Hit up local bar for craft cocktails and the local gay scene

Day 2: Sunday – Pula to Monsena Beach

  • Monsena Beach Anchor: Sail to Croatia’s most famous gay nude beach and drop anchor for the day and overnight
  • Beach Day: Spend the full day swimming, sunbathing au naturel, and socializing with the international gay crowd
  • White Bar Night: Evening drinks at White Bar – the legendary beach bar scene where the party continues after sunset

Day 3: Monday – Monsena Beach to Rovinj

  • Morning and daytime at Monsena: Enjoy a final morning swim and beach time at this iconic gay nude beach
  • Afternoon Sail to Rovinj: Short cruise to Rovinj, arriving in late afternoon
  • Evening in Rovinj: Explore the romantic Old Town, and enjoy cocktails at a bar by the sea with a beautiful gay and queer friendly international crowd. 

Day 4: Tuesday – Rovinj to Medulin

  • Southern Cruise: Sail south to Medulin near the tip of Istria, passing beautiful coastline and hidden coves
  • Bijeca Beach: Relax at Medulin’s famous sandy beach or explore the small islands of Medulin archipelago by dinghy
  • Kamenjak Access: Medulin as base to explore Cape Kamenjak Nature Park with dozens of secluded naturist coves

Day 5: Wednesday – Medulin to Susak Marina

  • Island Escape: Sail southwest to remote Susak Island through pristine Kvarner Bay waters
  • Susak Marina: anchor or dock at this charming island with rare sandy beaches and strong naturist tradition
  • Island Life: Explore beaches where nude sunbathing is embraced, meet locals in traditional costumes speaking unique dialect

Day 6: Thursday – Susak to Kamenjak Peninsula

  • Return to Kamenjak: Sail back to Istria’s wild southern tip – pristine coastline
  • Hidden Coves: Discover dozens of naturist beaches where clothing is optional and crowds are minimal
  • Bar Sundowners: Watch sunset at legendary cliff-top bar – cocktails au naturel in bohemian atmosphere

Day 7: Friday – Kamenjak to Pula

  • Final Morning: One last swim at Kamenjak’s clothing-optional coves before short sail back to Pula
  • Farewell Feast: Sunset dinner featuring Istrian truffles, fresh seafood, local wines with your sailing family

Day 8: Saturday – Disembarkation

Disembarkation: By 09:00 at marina in Pula 

  • Exchange contact info with your new besties – what happens on the Istrian coast stays on the Istrian coast
  • Head out to explore Pula’s morning markets or transfer to Pula Airport for your journey home
  • Safe travels with a perfectly even tan and unforgettable memories
