I’ve wanted to book a small sailing trip for years but wasn’t sure because being stuck on a small boat with people I’ve never met could be overwhelming. However, from the first WhatsApp messages with Ross (Skipper) all my concerns drifted away because he took the time to answer my questions and made me feel comfortable. No question is dumb or silly, Ross takes the time to make you feel comfortable before booking the trip.
Dimi and Ross are extremely experienced and trained making you feel instantly safe. They have hosted many trips and have exceptional hosting skills to make a group feel included and part of the crew no mater if they are very social or more reserved. They checked in with me multiple times to make sure I was feeling safe and enjoying the trip. I’ve never done anything “clothing optional” before but felt comfortable to be myself and opt in as much or as little as I felt comfortable. I wore speedos or shorts and didn’t feel excluded or pressure.They curated an itinerary that lets all guests ease into the trip with the first night at the boarding marina (welcome drinks, dinner, food shopping etc).
Everyone has time to feel comfortable before setting sail the following day. You instantly have 2 sweet and caring guys as soon as you arrive in Skipper Dimi and Ross. They make it easy to get to know the other 4-6 guests before sailing. The itinerary allows for the perfect mix of rest, adventure onboard and onshore to make you never feel stuck on the boat. My highlights were our skippers, star gazing, learning to sail in a safe environment at the pace I felt comfortable with with no pressure to do more.
The perfect mix of activities to enjoy without any issues if you wanted to not get involved. I’m not a strong swimmer and this wasn’t an issue at all, Dimi and Ross go to extra lengths for guests to feel safe at all times. By mid trip I was diving into crystal clear calm waters anchored in a stunning little bay. My advice is to take a chance because you won’t regret it! I’ve already extended my Euro trip and booked a second sail week around Malta. This is an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
