Bare Sail with Pride Photo Competition

We love to share creativity with the Pride community! That’s why we launched the Bare Sail with Pride Photo Competition. It’s a chance for us to get to know you better. Find us at a Pride, CSD, or other gay event near you. Look for our backdrop where you can take a Pride photo and submit yours for a chance to win a free gay sailing trip. Find out below how to participate.

How to participate:

Take a photo in front of the “Bare Sail with Pride” backdrop.

Make sure your photo complies with our guidelines (see below).

Post it to Instagram with the hashtag provided for the event where you see our backdrop before the deadline.

Gain likes for your photo.

Bare Waves Sailing will review the photos. The one with the most likes and that complies with our guidelines will win first prize. We may also offer 2nd and 3rd place prizes, such as discount coupons, for an event.

The first place prize wins a coupon for a free shared-cabin spot for one person on one of our sailing trips (expires after 1 year from date of issue; coupons may be transferred to another person of your choosing):

• Everyone else is welcome to use their spot on a custom trip. This is a great way to round up a bunch of friends to sail together
• Males can use this free spot on any of our gay/bi sailing trips, including scheduled ones

Adults 18+ are eligible to win.

Guidelines

Photos need to:

• Include the front of the “Bare Sail with Pride” backdrop clearly and fully visible;
• Be tagged with the published hashtag for the event, as depicted on the backdrop;
• Express the spirit of Pride: inclusion, celebration, equality, etc.;
• Be creative and unique, expressing your perspective of Pride.

Photos may not:

• Include symbols, words, phrases, gestures, or poses depicting violence, discrimination, or hate speech;
• Include symbols, words or phrases related to political movements, parties, candidates (exception: political statements that promote equal treatment of LGBTQ+ people may accepted so long as all other guidelines are met);
• Depict lewd or pornographic scenes or acts;
• Violate the policies of Instagram, or the laws and regulations of the European Union (EU) or country where the event is hosted.
